Bingit S3

Bingit (Angst) is one of the first series dealing with various mental health issues. Bingit I and II touched on illnesses like depression, self-harm, schizophrenia, gaming addiction and sexual addiction. The first and second season were well received by the public and has won over 7 awards in the recent Pesta Perdana, an awards show organized by SURIA. Following its success in raising awareness about mental illness, the third season will further its aim of reducing the social stigma by portraying 4 different mental illnesses, namely: Hoarding, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Agoraphobia and Bipolar. Each story consist of 2 episodes which delves around the characters dealing with their mental illness.

Aida and her mother, Mak Leha return home from a shopping trip to Batam. Said sighs looking at the things they buy. Back at home, Said nags at Aida for buying and keeping unnecessary items. When their neighbor, Halim, complains to Said about the bulky items blocking the common corridor, Said asks Mak Leha to talk to Aida to discard her items. Mak Leha is aware that her personal things are an eyesore to Said. She decides to clear the items herself despite her deteriorating health. Mak Leha’s cough and asthma gets worst while carrying the bulky items down to the dumping area. Mak Leha takes a break in her room. When Aida returns home, she fumes at the sight of her items being discarded. As she enters Mak Leha’s room to confide, thinking Said is the one who throws the items away, Aida finds Mak Leha lying on the bed, unresponsive.
